An Oklahoma and Missouri state trooper were injured amid a stolen vehicle pursuit along the Will Rogers Turnpike.

The pursuit began around 5:30 p.m. Saturday when an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper was in the middle of a pursuit with a black Dodge Charger between Vinita and Afton.

The male suspect drove over stop sticks, flattening the Charger's tires at the Miami gate. The suspect exited the vehicle and then proceeded to steal an OHP unit. He continued driving eastbound on the turnpike.

While an OHP trooper was pursuing the suspect on foot, a Missouri Highway Patrol inadvertently struck the OHP trooper.

As the suspect crossed the Oklahoma state line into Missouri, he struck a Missouri state trooper.

Other Missouri troopers set us stop sticks, which stopped the suspect from traveling further into the state.

He was taken into custody by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Both troopers were transported to nearby hospitals with unknown injuries.
