Southwest Power Pool No Longer Under An Energy Emergency Alert

Southwest Power Pool is no longer under an energy emergency alert as of Friday morning, the company said.

As of 9:20 a.m. Friday, the company said the energy emergency alert ended.

The company will continue to conserve power until 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20 for the entire SPP balancing authority area.

The conservation operations is due to the severe cold weather and utilities should operate with heightened awareness of possible contingencies, SPP said.
