Impactful Teacher Of The Month: Mindy Cash

March's Impactful Teacher Of The Month is Mindy Cash, Director of Education at the Little Light House.

Mindy has faced a challenging educational path. A facial tumor forced her to be in and out of the hospital from first grade through graduation but it was influential teachers that helped her become the person she is today.

Mindy is a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State and spent 16 years working as a special education teacher at a children's rehab hospital in Bethany.

She said that she is able to use her story to help other students who are facing difficulties in their young lives.

"I just had a passion to serve children who had significant medical needs and educational challenges and I knew God wanted me to use my testimony to help students in a powerful and impactful way and also by supporting the students, also supporting the parents as well," said Mindy.

Mindy is getting $1000 from T-Mobile for being chosen as this month's impactful teacher and she said that she plans to share some of it with her teachers and staff and plans to use some of it for her student loans as she is now in grad school.
