Kyle’s family said Kyle was just an amazing person and everyone loved being around him. He loved life, he loved his family and he loved bowhunting.
“It’s going to be tough to go out to our land to go deer hunting. He’s not going to be there. I was telling my brother today, Kyle is definitely one of the best friends I’ve ever had,” said Randy Davis, Kyle’s dad.
Randy said his son Kyle had a heart of gold and always put others first.
He loved his wife and two little kids more than anything.
“Kyle made things special,” said Randy. “Little things mean so much to you and you don’t realize it until later.”
Randy said Kyle was a giver.
“I’ve got a brother who is paralyzed from an automobile accident. Kyle took the time to build him special blinds, and to make paths for his wheelchair to go down,” said Randy.
Kyle’s family said he brought joy to every situation and saw the best in everyone.
They say he had a passion for shooting big bucks but also for giving back to his community through law enforcement.
“The outpouring of love and support from the community through this tome is a testament to the lives that he touched and the positive impact he had on the community,” said Brody Wallis, Kyle’s brother-in-law.
“If there was a situation, just like what took Kyle’s life, he would never be afraid to jump in,” said Randy.
Randy said when Kyle signed up, he knew he might one day have to make the ultimate sacrifice, now he has.
“We’ve got to live off his memories. And he’s given us some darn good ones to live off of.”
Kyle’s family thanks everyone for their support.
There will be a candlelight vigil at Copan High School to honor Kyle, Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
