The Oklahoma County Detention Center is taking steps to address a severe staff shortage at the facility.
A job fair will start at 10 a.m. Thursday at the detention center, until 2 p.m.
This is a continued effort to increase the staffing at the jail.
The main position the facility is trying to fill is more detention officers. They'll be doing interviews and hiring people right on the spot.
This week, Turn Key Health, the health care provider for inmates, announced it will not terminate their contract with the jail due to increased staffing that's already taken place.
Turn Key previously threatened to end their contract if staffing needs at the jail weren't met after inmates took a corrections officer hostage last month. An inmate was killed in the process.
There have been 10 inmate deaths inside the jail since last July.
