Sunday is the first day of Crime Victim's Rights Week.
Kim Moyer is the State Director of Marsy's Law, a bill making it easier for crime victims to know their rights. She says this is important because you never know if and when you'll be affected by a crime.
"We are constantly building a support network around them, so that when they need the help that they might need if crime impacts their life, that it's there to help them," said Moyer.
From April 18-24 several state landmarks will be lit purple in solidarity.
