Oklahoma County Jail Trust Chairwoman Resigns

Oklahoma County jail trust chairwoman Tricia Everest resigned from her post, according to a letter sent to the county commissioners.

In a letter dated on Friday, Everest said she was confirmed as secretary of Public Safety for the state of Oklahoma on Thursday.

Accordingly, she said she tendered her resignation as chair and as a trustee of the Oklahoma County Criminal Justice Authority effective on Friday.

"It has been my pleasure to serve," she said in the letter.

The Oklahoma County jail trust was established in 2019.
