Tulsa Police have arrested a man after he confessed to shooting and killing someone at a gas station on Monday night. Police said the suspect went to a fire station to turn himself in.
The suspect has been identified as Bryan Blount, according to Tulsa Police. They said Blount was questioned by investigators and arrested for first-degree murder.
Tulsa Police said the shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. on Monday night at Jerrod’s Grocery store on East 36th Street between Peoria and MLK Boulevard. Police have not released the name of the victim, but said he died at the scene after being shot once in the upper torso.
Investigators said they were able to watch the incident on surveillance video from the store. They have not released a motive for the shooting.
Jail records indicate Blount will see a judge on Tuesday.
