Authorities have been investigating a string of dispensary burglaries in the Choctaw and Harrah area. Five burglaries near the area have now been tied to four others.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department were first called out to a dispensary break-in in the early morning hours at 14022 SE 29th. While there they received a call from the Harrah Police Department informing them of four other dispensaries that had occurred that night.

All the stores were equipped with cameras and alarms, but that didn’t seem to concern the thieves. For each of the burglaries the thieves had the same entry process, according to investigators.

“They busted out the glass of the front door, they went in, two to five minutes and then they were gone,” said Sgt. Paul Harmon with the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Department.

As the department began checking with other agencies, they quickly connected the crimes.

“On May 12th, 2021 there were three incidents, in Mustang, Tuttle, and New Castle,” said Sabrina Trice with the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office. “Six more incidents were reported on May 19th, 2021. Four in Harrah, one in rural Harrah and one in Oklahoma City’s jurisdiction.”

Deputies were quick to notice the proximity of the dispensaries, two on Northeast 23rd in Harrah and two on Southeast 29th Street.

In all the burglaries authorities said the thieves took large quantities of marijuana, vapes, edibles, and paraphernalia.

Authorities estimate over $25,000 in product was stolen from the New Castle store alone.

Authorities have video of two different vehicles being used in the burglaries.

“In Tuttle and New Castle there was a black SUV or crossover type vehicle with Kansas tags. And a silver Chevy Cruz with Oklahoma tags used in the other burglaries,” said Harmon.

From the video, investigators are positive that it is the same individuals in all the burglaries. They have the same clothing, the same size, and the same build.

Authorities said all the break-ins were planned out; however, they remain confident the thieves will be caught.

Anyone with information about these burglaries should call the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office Tipline at 405-713-1017
