Spartan College Flight School's annual "Dawn Patrol" event took off Saturday morning.

30 Piper Archer aircraft and three Piper Seminoles took flight in groups at Riverside Airport as the sun rose. Organizers say the event honors the school's history going all the way back to 1929. The group is scheduled to land at Grand Lake Regional Airport.
