The annual Saintst Francis Tulsa Tough competition kicks off Friday night for a weekend full of festivities, cycling and cheering, but as with any downtown event comes road closures in the area.
Tulsa Tough canceled their event in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but they have resumed their normal planning for this year’s competition. Event organizers expect roughly 10,000 people to attend each event.
Road closures for the event are spread out over the next three days starting with Friday morning at 7 a.m. in the Blue Dome District with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd streets blocked off between Detroit and Greenwood. This area will be closed until 2 a.m.
On Saturday at 6 a.m. the area shifts to the Tulsa Arts District with closures between Boulder and MLK Jr. Blvd and Easton and Brady street, which is the loop around Guthrie Green.
Sunday’s lineup begins at 5 a.m. in the 15th Street and Riverside portion of Tulsa and continues through Sunday afternoon.
