1 Dead After Shooting Near Lake Tenkiller; OSBI Investigating

The OSBI is investigating a shootout that left one person dead in Cherokee County.

Officials said it happened early Wednesday morning along Lake Tenkiller in the Cookson area.

OSBI said Cherokee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic incident involving Jerett Gray and a woman. Agents said Gray began shooting at deputies who then shot back.

They said nobody was hit and Gray ran into the woods, where deputies say they later found him dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
