Serious Crash On I-40 Shuts Down Highway Near Weatherford

First responders were on the scene of a serious accident Monday on Interstate 40 in Custer County.

The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-40 near the Thomas-Mountain View exit.

News 9 crews on scene witnessed two vehicles involved in the crash.

Air Evac responded to the scene, landing two helicopters on the highway.

At least one person is dead after the crash.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Weatherford police responded to the scene.
