A chase in southern Oklahoma led to the arrest of a murder and Amber Alert suspect, with the help of citizens and several law enforcement departments.
"Amber Alert worked as it should have, and our dispatchers did an amazing job getting people set up and in place," said Bryan County Undersheriff Joey Tucker.
Tucker was monitoring the radio as Sabrina Spurlock headed south from Atoka towards Durant. Officials said Spurlock shot and killed her father Monday, then took off with her two kids.

Once the Amber Alert was sent out Monday evening, law enforcement agencies stationed along Highway 75.
"I have never seen one happen this fast where so many people were involved, and so many people just happened to be out looking for this vehicle," Tucker said.
Tucker said citizens also helped in the search. Someone called police when they saw Spurlock's car on an off-ramp in Caddo.

When a Caddo police officer spotted her, the highway pursuit started. Durant Police officers, Bryan County deputies, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers and Choctaw Tribal Police joined in.
Tucker said speeds reached up to 85 miles per hour. Caddo Police arrested her in Durant after she hit spike strips.
"And once she stopped, deputies and police officers were able to secure that car and get her out of the vehicle, place her in custody and take custody of those babies," Tucker said.
Spurlock was caught around two hours after the Amber Alert went out.
Tucker said it's a reminder to take Amber Alerts seriously because they work.
"I'm thrilled of how people in Oklahoma will stop what they're doing and go out and look for these kids that may be in danger. It's just, it's Oklahoma," Tucker said.
On top of being a murder suspect in Wagoner County, Spurlock is facing charges for eluding officers and child endangerment in Bryan County.
