Homicide detectives with Tulsa police have identified the man they say shot and killed another person at a Tulsa bar early Friday morning.
Tulsa police said officers were dispatched to DD’s Double Shots bar near 11th and Sheridan just before 1:30 a.m. on Friday. Police said a victim, who was a contract employee for karaoke, was found dead outside the bar with a gunshot wound.
Investigators said other people at the bar were able to watch out for the suspect and followed him to a nearby QuikTrip.
Police said they found the suspect, who investigators identified as Chris Bratton, and took him into custody.
Lt. Brandon Watkins, a homicide detective with Tulsa Police, said there are witnesses and video evidence of the shooting. He said the investigation is early and they are working to piece the full story together.
“Sounds like it’s an altercation possibly over some burglary in vehicles or at least someone looking at cars,” said Lt. Watkins. “We’re just now starting to talk to the witnesses and suspect so we’ll have to figure out what happened.”
