The Greenwood Rising museum is set to open to the public on Wednesday.

The new museum will tell the full story of Tulsa's Greenwood District before, during, and after the Tulsa Race Massacre. The museum held a dedication ceremony in early June which offered limited tours for specific groups including the descendants of the massacre.

Tickets will be free for everyone for the first year but visitors do need to register for them online. Visitors are required to wear masks and get a temperature check as part of COVID-19 safety protocols. The Greenwood Rising museum is at the intersection of Greenwood and Archer in downtown Tulsa and will be open every day of the week except Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
