A daughter is searching for answers, after she said her father was found dead in a burning house near Locust Grove Wednesday morning.
Jordan Gibson said certain things about the death of her father, Lucas Sanders, aren't adding up.
"He was definitely found with a cigarette in his hand, he was not a smoker. He like hated smoking with everything that he had," Gibson said. "We don't know what to think right now we're just like really scared about what we're actually going to find out."
Gibson and her family are trying to piece together exactly what happened to her father. Sanders' mother Gerdaline Martin also suspects the fire may have been a cover up.
"He has had some beef with some people. He's had some enemies," Gibson said.
"I can't believe it, it's just unbelievable. That something would happen like that to Luke," Martin said.
Regardless of how it happened, Gibson is left without a father and Martin without a son.
"I'll miss his joking around with me. He's always joking with momma. He's always told me I love you momma. So I'm gonna miss him," Martin said.
They said Sanders had a huge personality and loved to make people laugh.
"They loved him; he was hilarious. He was a joker, but everybody loved him," Martin said.
As the family tries to cope with the loss, Gibson said she'll keep looking for justice.
"We just need to find out who did this, and we need to get them arrested, convicted, thrown away," she said.
The OSBI and FBI have taken over the investigation and are not releasing any details.
