Three families who lost their high school students in a deadly crash will find out what's next for the driver found guilty of hitting them.

Max Townsend is expected to be sentenced Thursday at 2 p.m. He is facing life in prison.

He was found guilty on all 10 counts in that deadly Moore crash, including three charges of second-degree murder.

Townsend was convicted of hitting and killing Moore High School students Kolby Crum, Yuridia Martinez, and Rachel Freeman then leaving the scene.

It happened during their cross-country practice in February of 2020.

Investigators say Townsend was driving 77 miles per hour when he hit the runners with his pickup.

Those three second-degree murder convictions could carry three life sentences.
