University of Tulsa students are returning to the classroom for the fall semester Monday morning. The school has several new COVID-19 precautionary measures in place to keep students healthy and safe during the school year.
Students will not be required to wear a mask on campus, but it is encouraged regardless of vaccination status.
New this year, the University of Tulsa started an incentive program where if at least 75% of students get vaccinated, they can be registered to win several prizes and rewards like new MacBooks, free parking passes, and more. Students must prove they are vaccinated by August 31st.
Students were able to move into on-campus housing last week. All students who are not vaccinated were required to take a COVID-19 test when they arrived on campus.
Any student who tests positive for COVID-19 must isolate for 10 days or until medically cleared in order to prevent spread on campus.
TU told News On 6 that it has some isolation rooms available for those who do not live alone, but not enough for everyone if an outbreak were to happen.
All unvaccinated students are also subject to rapid testing per the school's request at any time.

University staff says they are more than excited to see the students coming to campus and are looking forward to, what is hopefully, a more normal school year.
