The Public Service Company of Oklahoma said it has restored electricity to hundreds of customers in the Tulsa metro due to Saturday's rainy weather.
As of 10:29 a.m. Saturday, approximately 500 residents (503) are without power. At its peak, around 9:15 a.m., PSO reported more than 1,500 customers lost electricity (1,581) as a result of the weather.
The highest concentration of outages, which were reported just after 8 a.m., affected an area near the intersection of U.S. Route 169 and Interstate 244. As of 11:17 a.m., PSO said fewer than five customers in the area do not have power.
A second area, just south of downtown Tulsa between Riverside Drive and South Denver Avenue, had over 200 customers without power (203). All customers in that area have had their power restored at this time.
This is a developing story.
