In football you need 11 guys to toe the line, but for the Oologah Mustangs they have one guy who could do it all: the versatile Aiden Trimble.
"I have played running back, outside linebacker, inside linebacker,” Trimble said. “I have played quarterback, slot receiver, H-Back, and I have kicked a ball in a game before."
Welcome to small town football.
"He is a throwback, he can play in any decade, that’s how I would describe him he has over 1,000 yards from scrimmage this year and he really has missed just two games,” said Oologah Head Coach Darrin Wegner. “It’s no secret our offense kind of runs through him.”
“It’s a humbling thing, like I really enjoy playing football,” Trimble said. “I played it since I was young and I’m just really glad that I have the ability and do anything I want to do.”
Trimble might be the super star but understands it is his teammates that help make him the player that he has become.
"I can't run the ball without the line, and I can't tackle people without the d-line fitting their gaps and stuff like that,” Trimble said. “It is helpful for coach to know someone is out there and I can make some plays and make some stuff happen for them.”
