A Tulsa non-profit is doing what it can to make the holiday season brighter for families in the community.
One Hope Tulsa hosted its "Lights On" tradition at Rose Bowl near 11th and Memorial.
The event kicked off the holiday season in the neighborhood, kids got to decorate ornaments and a Christmas tree, sing carols and play games.
One Hope Tulsa is a ministry dedicated to helping children build relationships through tutoring, mentoring and sports and art programs.
Each child left with a book and their parents got to take home a strand of Christmas lights.
The ministry says it has 25 children on its waiting list and is always looking for volunteers to help with its programs.
