Edmond Memorial Students Charged After Threatening Messages Found

Three Edmond Memorial High Students have had charges filed against them after sending threatening text messages.

They are accused of sending the messages to the school and other individuals.

According to EPD's case report, text messages saying the students were going to "Shoot up the school" were found.

Edmond Memorial Principal Anthony Rose said in a letter to parents, "It is never acceptable to joke about school safety. Furthermore, it is against the law. As always, your child's safety and well-being are our highest priority. We are grateful that the school and our students are safe and that this matter has been resolved."

The students are no longer on campus.
