The Castle of Muskogee is helping folks get into the holiday spirit.

The Castle is welcoming people from all over to look at the lights, go hayride, and plenty of other holiday favorites.

The countdown to Christmas has begun. Many kiddos are home for Christmas break, and if you're needing a break from your house there's plenty to do right here at the Castle of Muskogee.

Just down the drawbridge, through the doors of the castle kids are helping make some Christmas magic come to life.

"I see some joy. Some sparkle in the eye," said Matt Hiller, Castle of Muskogee.

Matt Hiller with the Castle of Muskogee said this is the perfect place to let your creativity run wild. He recommends stopping by Rudolph's Cafe for hot cocoa and cookies before giving the elves a break and tinkering with toys.

Kids can make their own stuffed animals, decorate ornaments, and create a candle.

There are opportunities for last-minute shopping and four more nights to visit Santa and get on his good side.

"He's busy Christmas Eve of course. Got a lot to do out there," said Hiller.

Hiller said they're also selling fireworks ahead of New Year's Eve.

"Gotta have those fireworks and have a happy New Year," said Hiller.

There's a mile-long lights display for those who wish to stay in the comfort of their own car.

"I love taking donations out at the donation booth and hearing all the kids yelling and screaming when they come driving through, 'Ahh this is so awesome,'" said Hiller.

Families can drive through the renaissance village that's all lit up with lots of inflatables and light sculptures. There's a holiday hayride along with camel and pony rides, plus you can climb aboard the Christmas train.

"On a big Saturday, we have over a thousand cars drive through," said Hiller.

Hiller said the castle doesn't disappoint.

"There's several activities you can do for Christmas in Muskogee but stop at the castle first," said Hiller.

The Christmas Castle will be open through New Year's Eve, nightly, from 5:30 to 10 p.m.
