The wife of a Muskogee County man killed last week said she's desperate for answers about who killed him and why.
Skylar Swift said she already misses her husband, who she describes as kind-hearted.
She says the hardest part is knowing her young daughter will grow up without her dad.
Skylar Swift said her husband Cornelius Swift was a hardworking man with a big heart.
"He was one of the most wonderful, amazing most kind people you could meet," she said.
She was married to him for 6 years.
Cornelius had a daughter in her 20s and he had 4-year-old LaiLei with Skylar.
Swift said LaiLei and Cornelius had a special connection.
"They had a bond like no other," she said. "That was literally her best friend."
The OSBI is investigating Cornelius's death as a murder.
Swift said her husband was left in a ditch in a rural part of the county and she doesn't know who would do something so cruel.
She said Cornelius was bipolar and had some problems but didn't deserve to die.
"There was no need for someone to take someone's life," she said. "He had two girls-- both of them are now father-less."
Skylar is desperate for answers and to get justice for Cornelius.
She says little LaiLei deserves that.
"Who could be prepared for this? Why would you murder somebody?"
"Please somebody come forth."
Skylar says she is trying to come up with money to afford a funeral for Cornelius.
