Dozens of people came out to participate in a walk and run distances ranging from 1 mile to 5 miles.

RunnersWorld Tulsa Co-owner Kathy Bratton says this annual Christmas fun run has been going on for more than 20 years.

She says it’s great to see the community come out to support a great cause.

“It’s important to us because not everybody has what they need especially during this time of the year and it helps us to give some joy to the children it helps cloth them and keep them warm and give them some essentials that they need it really warms the heart to be able to give back to the community this way”, said Kathy Bratton, RunnersWorld Tulsa Co-owner

Walkers and runners also donated clothes, gloves, and other items for elementary school children.

“This is all what the Christmas Spirit is about. It’s about giving and about sharing, and this is the best way to show it”, said Karina Majed, Runner

RunnersWorld is still taking donations of hats and gloves at its Brookside location.
