Fire crews worked on a house fire in SW OKC Friday evening.
Crews from Moore and OKC battled the fire at a home near SW 156th St. by Southmoore High School.
According to authorities, the fire started after a gas fireplace had been in use for several hours and sent smoke into the attic where it eventually caught fire.
A total of five residents, including a baby, were home at the time of the fire but made it out safe. A few pets also escaped uninjured.
Authorities did not report any injuries and said the family already has somewhere to stay for the night.
This is a developing story, stay tuned for updates.
