Big-time racing returns to Expo Square this week. Check-ins for the 37th annual Lucas Oil Shootout started on Monday.

The Lucas Oil shootout generally brings in hundreds every year and organizers say this year’s event is expected to be one of the biggest yet. There are expected to be more than one hundred entries for this year's races.

People are traveling to Tulsa from across the country to participate in one of the biggest outlaw racing events of the season. One of the race coordinators says this event sets the tone for Championship races to come such as the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals, taking place next month. Racing starts Wednesday at Expo Square and goes through Saturday and General Admission is $15.
