Putnam City Moves Classes Online Due To Many COVID Cases Among Students And Staff

Putnam City Public Schools has announced they will be moving classes online through the end of the week.

Putnam City Public Schools has announced they will be moving all secondary school classes online through the end of the week. 

Students should expect to return to class on January 18. 

The cancelation comes as the district deals with a high number of COVID cases among students and staff. 

The affected schools are: 

Putnam City High School 

Putnam City North High School 

Putnam City West High School 

Putnam City Academy    

Capps Middle School 

Cooper Middle School 

Hefner Middle School 

Mayfield Middle School 

Western Oaks Middle School 

Grab and go meal services will be available from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the school. 

The District also plans to continue other mitigation efforts, including a district-wide mask mandate for staff and students.
