A state lawmaker from Norman filed a bill that would essentially ban homeless camps within city limits.
Senate Bill 13-81 would require cities to inspect any homeless camps within 30 days of their appearance.
The bill said cities must "abolish" the camp if it doesn't meet Oklahoma building codes.
If the bill is passed, it would go into effect in November of 2022.
