Tulsa residents can start using their blue recycling bins on Monday as the city restarts its recycling program.
Tulsa's recycling program shut down about 10 months ago after a fire at the recycling plant.
PLant staff believes a lithium battery may have started the fire that shut the plant down.
City crews have been picking up the recyclables at the same time as trash and have been incinerating recyclables while the plant was closed.
The city estimates around 15-tons of aluminum, paper, steel, and plastic were burned instead of recycled over the last 10 months.
The city's list of recyclables hasn't changed from the original list posted on the top of the carts.
The city strongly discourages anyone from putting anything in the cart they're not sure is on the list, especially batteries.
