Going from warm weather on Monday to cold temperatures could lead to issues for some Oklahomans. Luckily, an agency can get your questions answered by dialing three numbers.
That agency is 211 Eastern Oklahoma, a part of the Community Service Council.
We've talked about them in the past and the resources they provide.
During the winter, they can connect you with local warming stations, help with energy bills and let you know where to get winter clothes without breaking the bank.
The agency covers 37 counties in northeastern Oklahoma but many calls come from the Tulsa area.
When you call 211, they'll ask you for your zip code first so they can connect you with resources in your area instead of having to drive far away.
After speaking with the agency Wednesday afternoon, they said they've already helped connect people with vital resources.
"We've already had some calls about plumbing repairs, people who've had pipes burst, warming shelters, and those looking for outerwear or cold weather gear," Said Ashlie Casey with 211 Eastern Oklahoma.
If the weather happens to lead to a state of disaster, 211 is part of Oklahoma's disaster response plan, meaning it can give you access to FEMA resources.
