The Tulsa Golden Hurricane earned its second American Athletic Conference (AAC) win this season on Saturday, 83-77 over Cincinnati at the Reynolds Center.
Tulsa took advantage of poor shooting by the Bearcats and walked into the locker room at the half with a 39-34 lead. Cincinnati was able to stay in the game by draining 12 threes, but on Saturday, the Bearcats died by the three, missing another 24 and shooting 28-74 total from the field.
The Golden Hurricane were more efficient and shot 32-61 with 5 three-pointers. Seniors Jeriah Horne and Darien Jackson both piled on 21 points for the Golden Hurricane. Horne finished with 21, 9 rebounds and 2 assists while Jackson had 21, 5 and 2.
Tulsa still sits at the bottom of the AAC standings with the win (8-15, 2-10 AAC) and head to Central Florida for a battle with UCF on Monday at 6 p.m. to improve their ranking.
