PGA Champion Releases Apology Statement For Comments About Golf Tour

Phil Mickelson, a 2021 PGA champion, shared a statement, regarding comments he made.

Mickelson apologized and said he's taking a break from the game, after off-the-record comments he made were shared about a new Saudi super league golf tour.

"It was reckless, I offended people, and I am deeply sorry for my choice of words," said Mickelson. "I know I have not been my best and desperately need some time away to prioritize the ones I love most and work on being the man I want to be."
