Golden Hurricane Football Coach Emphasizes Leadership For Offense & Defense

The Golden Hurricane will begin spring camp this coming Tuesday, March 1. TU will hold their Spring game on April 9. Tulsa will also hold their pro-day on March 10.

Head Coach Philip Montgomery will have leadership with quarterback Davis Brin making his return. He understands that Brin will need to have new protection on the line as veteran guard Chris Paul has graduated.

Coach Montgomery believes he can figure out new leaders for both the offense and defense.

"You know it always starts with us up front. We have some new faces that are going to be in there and some guys that are really going to have to step up and do a job. So I think that offense and defense line is going to be really crucial for us, not just right now but as we kind of go throughout the rest of the spring and get into the summer and start of fall camp," said Philip Montgomery.
