An unusual call and discovery Friday morning is leaving Tulsa Police with a lot of unanswered questions.
Police say just before 8, someone living near 66th Street North and MLK looked out their front door, to see a woman lying on their neighbor's front porch.
"The fire department got called,” said Andre Baul, an officer with TPD. “The fire department, as soon as they got out here, they told us that there was someone lying on the porch that was down."
Firefighters determined the woman was dead and called Tulsa Police.
"They note that she has trauma to the body,” said Baul. “They're still trying to determine if it was actually gunshots or some other form of trauma."
Police believe the woman lived at the house, but the other people inside had no idea she was out there. Investigators believe she could have been there for a couple of hours. Officers woke up the homeowners to tell them the news.
"They're just like us,” said Baul. “They don't know what happened. Of course, you see a family member that's unresponsive and laying there, of course, they're going to be in great shock."
Police questioned them and also went door to door. Some neighbors, who didn't want to go on camera, tell News on 6, they also didn't see or hear anything. Police are still calling it a possible homicide and hope more answers come soon.
"It’s unfortunate we don't have a lot to go on right now," said Baul.
Police have not released the victim’s name.
