Delaware County Man Pleads Guilty To Murdering Mother, Assaulting Sister

A Delaware County man has admitted that he shot and killed his mother, then shot his sister in March of 2021.

Authorities say Christopher Wheeley pleaded guilty in federal court to murder and assault with intent to commit murder.

Wheeley shot his mother, Annie Wheeley, in the chest at a home in Jay. He then shot his sister in the stomach and back, but she survived.
