The Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum is partnering with the 9/11 National Memorial for a discussion on recent traumatic events.
The collaboration is called “Never Again or Not on Our Watch.” With recent mass shootings across the country, both museums will be discussing what their roles should be in the process of healing and moving forward.
Both 9/11 and April 19 are etched in people's minds forever because of those terrorist attacks.
New York and Oklahoma City have museums about the specific events. Those affected in both tragedies memorialize and educate current and future generations.
Monday night's discussion will center around current events including the shootings in Uvalde, Buffalo, New York, and Tulsa and what role the museums should have.
"I think we can come out knowing that institutions like here in Oklahoma City or the 9/11 Museum are setting examples of how we can come together on sacred ground to find common ground," Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum president Kari Watkins said.
The discussion will start at 5 p.m. You can watch it here.
