A weekend vacation for one Oklahoma couple turned chaotic after a plane made an emergency landing, just yards away from their car.
Steve Mass tells News 9 he and his wife were driving along State Highway 412, east of Stillwater when all of a sudden, they heard a crash. When he looked in his rearview mirror, a plane was heading right towards them.
"She thought we had a blowout," said Mass. "I hear the collision simultaneously and in my mirror, I see an airplane sliding towards us."

They kept driving forward until the plane finally stopped and that's when Mass and his wife knew they needed to go help. Two men jumped out of the plane looking to be okay.
One of them told Mass they were hoping and praying the plane wouldn't hit them.
"He was just shocked to be alive," Mass said. "He said they were on a trip from Seminole to Wichita, Kansas. I guess he picked out a spot between two cars and said a prayer and here they come."
OHP Troopers quickly got to the scene and notified the FAA and NTSB. They say no other cars were affected by the landing.
"Later in the day we just continued to be thankful that nobody was hurt," said Mass.
Troopers have still not released what caused the pilot to make that landing.
