In an email to customers, Oklahoma Gas and Electric said it is raising the price of electric bills.
The company said its base rate of 1.9 percent, which amounts to approximately $2.07 per month for the average customer.
OG&E said the raised rate will help it recover investments made in the power grid in recent years.
Officials said the rate may be refunded or readjusted further once the Oklahoma Corporation Commission completes OG&E's rate review.
