Gathering Place Donates Tree Branches To The Tulsa Zoo

Some birds at the Tulsa Zoo got some new furniture this week thanks to Tulsa's Gathering Place.

Construction crews cleared branches from the park and recycled them by donating a truckload to the Tulsa Zoo.

Zookeepers say the branches will be used for perching and designing bird habitats.

Two Southern ground hornbills, named Tammy and Jim, were some of the first birds to enjoy the donations.
