Loved Ones Remember Brothers Murdered In Okmulgee

A person of interest is in custody in connection to four men who were shot and dismembered in Okmulgee.

Mark and Bill Chastain, Mike Sparks and Alex Stevens were found five days after they went missing.

Joe Kennedy was arrested on Tuesday in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida. Police said Kennedy was driving a stolen vehicle from Okmulgee County.

Kennedy will be extradited back to Oklahoma on a stolen vehicle charge as police continue to investigate the homicide.

The family of two of the murdered men said they've been praying the truth would surface and God would shed light on any darkness.

Family members of Mark Chastain want justice for all four men.

They said Mark and Billy Jack, or 'B-J' were inseparable, a dynamic duo. They plan to have the brothers buried side by side next to their dad.

Their family admits Mark and Billy Chastain were ornery and had a difficult upbringing, but said nobody deserves to be murdered, dismembered, and dumped the river.

“I loved them both. I raised both of them. Now I don’t have neither one of them,” Milissia Smith, Mark & Billy's grandmother. “None of them boys deserved this. None of them. That was, there's no words to even say what kind of act that man did."

“It’s heart breaking. Another human can do that to another human. That’s evil, that’s pure evil,” said Jon Chastain, Mark & Billy's Cousin. "We are their voice, and they still have us and we're gonna do whatever we can to bring justice to these boys."

Now, all they have are memories that take them back in time.

“Mark was loyal. That’s one thing Mark was. Mark was loyal. And he was loving. If he loved you, he loved you,” said Jon Chastain, Mark & Billy's Cousin.

“Mark used to always tell a story, he said ‘ain’t it,’ ‘ain’t it,’ ‘I know that’s right’ ‘’ain’t it,’” said Mercedes Hurst, Mark & Billy’s Cousin.

“Mark was a homebody, so Mark was always home. He’s loving, caring, he liked to joke all the time,” said Jessica Chastain, Mark’s Wife.

“Mark, he was my sweetheart. With blue eyes. That smile,” said Milissia Smith, Mark & Billy's grandmother.

And then there was Billy Jack, the handyman.

“BJ, that boy was tough. He was like his daddy tough. He was kind. He had a heart. He had a big heart,” said Jon Chastain, Mark & Billy's Cousin.

“Anything I ever needed he was here to help me with it after Bill passed away, my husband, his grandpa. He was right on it. You could call him; he was here just in a snap of your fingers. Now I don’t have that no more,” said Milissia Smith, Mark & Billy's grandmother.

The brothers' family said the killer robbed the world of great fathers and husbands, and that’s just something you can’t replace.

“Trying not to be rated R here. I hope he suffers the rest of his days,” said Jon Chastain, Mark & Billy's Cousin.

Michael Sparks' fiancé Crystal Parker sent us the following statement: “My name is Crystal Parker I am Michael Sparks fiancé. I've been through a really rough situation here lately and I don't understand what happened or why it happened, but I know at least we're going to get Justice for what happened. Nobody deserves that. He was a good man, and he was good to everybody. My kids loved him, and we all loved him. The arrest of Joe Kennedy brings some relief as I felt he would never be apprehended. We ask in this time that you respect our privacy and also, we would like to thank law enforcement for their countless hours on this investigation.”
