According to court documents, Geiger kidnapped Caliyah from her motel room where she was with family who were asleep at the time.
Investigators said candy, juice boxes and evidence of sexual assault were later discovered in Geiger’s motel room.
Caliyah was found in the hotel’s pool at around 2 a.m. with signs of strangulation.
Geiger was released from prison prior to the murder after serving a 10-year-sentence for kidnapping in Oklahoma County.
Michael Geiger was denied bond over the summer.
Just days after the murder, the Enid Community rallied together to remember Caliyah.
Geiger is expected to enter a plea deal. Geiger's bond hearing is set for 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 3. The judge in this case is expecting the trial to begin in May of 2023.
