A plane crash near Kingfisher leaves two people dead on Monday.
Investigators say the plane took off from Wiley Post Airport in Oklahoma City and crashed about 30 minutes later. Oklahoma Highway Troopers combed through what was left of the plane.
“You never wanna pull up on something like this,” said Trooper Brandt Skinner, with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
All investigators can say is that the two people who were in that plane died.
“Obviously something like this is a real tragedy,” Skinner said.
The National Transportation Safety Board is trying to find answers.
“They’ll be out here through the night and tomorrow to investigate exactly what happened, and the medical examiner will do the same,” Skinner said.
The plane took off from Wiley Post Airport in Oklahoma City.
“Unknown what happened between now and 12:45,” Skinner said.
Investigators will try to solve the problem that occurred in that half-hour window. \
“Do what we can to answer questions for families and get a better idea of what’s going on,” Skinner said.
While the families of these two people are given the news.
“We’re doing our best to make sure we can get answers for family – bring some comfort there,” Skinner said.
Troopers will release the names of the victims once their families have been notified. The NTSB and the Federal Aviation Administration will work to find out what happened.
