A cold start to your Thursday with wind chills in the teens and 20s! Sunny skies with highs in the 40s later this afternoon.
Tonight lows in the 20s with clear skies. Tomorrow look for highs in the mid 50s with sunny skies.
We will see a northwest breeze all day, and this will make it feel colder. Saturday will be mild and breezy with highs in the 60s. Arctic air arrives late Saturday! This will bring a 40 degree temperature swing by Sunday.
Next week we have a chance for waves of winter precip starting on Monday. This time the air will be cold at the surface, but a warm layer just below the clouds will keep most of Oklahoma from seeing snow. Monday and Tuesday the precip type could be a mix of sleet and freezing rain.
Exactly where the heaviest sets up, and who see what types is still something we are determining. As the storm gets closer, please stay tuned. Sleet would be much better than freezing rain as far as power outages go!
