Del City Police Locate Suspect Vehicle In Connection To Deadly Hit-And-Run

UPDATE 12:14 p.m. 2/27/2023: The suspect's vehicle has been located, according to Del City Police.

The Del City Police Department is asking for the public’s help with information in connection to a deadly hit-and-run that happened on Feb. 22.

Police said the crash happened at around 6:30 p.m. near South Sunnylane Road and Southeast 15th Street.

Officers learned during an initial investigation that the suspect was traveling southbound on South Sunnylane Road when they were hit by a man riding a black scooter.

A nearby home’s security camera captured the crash as well as the moment the suspect fled the scene, police said.

Police believe the vehicle is a silver 2002 to 2009 GMC Envoy with damage to the right rear bumper. 

Police said the female suspect was following a white Chevrolet or GMC extended cab pickup truck.

After the crash, both vehicles fled the scene traveling west on Mallard Drive.
