Oklahoma City PD Captain Accused Of DUI

An Oklahoma City Police Officer was arrested on Sunday, a spokesperson confirmed.

The Department said Oklahoma City Police Captain James French was arrested early Sunday morning on a complaint of DUI.

Police said at around 1:38 a.m., an officer saw a dark vehicle that was travelling at a high-rate of speed and swerving from left to right northbound on South May Avenue.

The responding officer noted French had an odor of alcohol on his breath and slurred speech.

French was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center.

Jail records show he bonded out of the jail at around 9 a.m. Sunday.
