Baker Mayfield is heading to Tampa Bay on a one-year, $8.5 million deal for the Buccaneers following the retirement of Tom Brady, according to NFL sources.
ESPN's Adam Schefter broke the news on social media Wednesday morning.
Mayfield was drafted first overall in 2018 by the Cleveland Browns, where he spent four seasons before being traded to the Carolina Panthers last spring.
The Panthers then cut Mayfield during the season and the Los Angeles Rams picked him up. He notably led LA to a victory during Thursday Night Football against the Raiders.
This is a developing story, stay tuned for updates.
