Oklahoma House Passes Affordable Housing Bill

The Oklahoma House passed a bill lawmakers said will bring long term affordable housing to the state.

House Bill 2098 would allow Oklahomans to donate up to 1% of the proceeds made from selling personal property.

The money would go to a fund overseen by the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency, used by the state to develop affordable housing.

The bill passed 76 to 6, and now heads to the Oklahoma Senate.
