An affidavit said on Sept. 21, 2022, Kacy Harless presented a fraudulent Florida driver's license at a dealership located near the Broadway Extension and North Kelly Avenue.

The driver's license included the identity theft victim's name, birthday, address and driver's license number, but the photograph didn't match the victim's true driver license, an affidavit said.

A few months after Harless drove off the lot with the vehicle, the victim called the dealership and told them she was not the one who purchased the vehicle.

The suspect was identified through tips provided by Crime Stoppers.

Court documents said that Harless was charged on the counts of obtaining property by trick/deception or false representation/pretense, identity theft and unlawful use of license or identification to commit fraud or mislead police.
